| DESCRIPTION - Thixad 1 is a cementing additive used to increase the thixotropic properties of a cement slurry.
ADVANTAGES
• Thixad 1 can be used to solve shallow lost circulation and gas migration problems because of the short transition time.
• Slurry viscosity will remain low during placement, but will gel rapidly after placement.
• Thixad 1 is more economical than most thixotropic additives.
APPLICATION
• Thixad 1 is a powdered material that can be dry blended with the cement.
• The use of dispersants is not recommended in conjunction with a thixotropic additive.
• Thixad 1 may be used as a thixotropic additive with any API class of cement (A, C, G, or H).
